Diminution of Value

What is Residual Diminution of Value?

The Executive Director, David Jacobs, is a pioneer of the concept, now known widely in the industry as Residual Diminumtion of Value.

Residual Diminution of Value is the retention of stigma that can reduce the dollar amount a potential buyer would pay when purchasing a vehicle after completion of proper repairs to the physically damages area(s). The effect may reduce the price offered and eliminate many buyers from considering purchase of the subject vehicle.

This type of evaluation is dependent upon many factors including the extent of damage suffered and area of repairs. Evaluations in this area can differ greatly. The recognized expertise of the appraiser is of paramount importance.

If you feel your vehicle may have suffered from Residual Diminution of Value, we encourage you to call so that we may discuss your situation.
